Industrial trade fair

The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association will organise the 10th edition of the International Industrial Trade Fair (INTEC) here from February 1 to 6.

A release said the fair would have 525 stalls spread across 10,250 sq.m. at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The organisers expected over two lakh visitors and a business turnover of nearly Rs. 1,200 crore.

Apart from domestic participants, the fair would have those from China, Germany, Austria, Taiwan and Turkey.

Two concurrent events – Automation Expo 2008 and Toolex 2008 – would be held. The products to be exhibited would include electronics, pneumatics, tooling, controls, moulds and dies, power, welding, compressors and machine tools.

Minister for Rural Industries Pongalur N. Palanisamy will inaugurate the fair on Feburary 1 and Minister for Highways M.P. Swaminathan will deliver a special address.
