Marriage assistance

The District Administration has invited applications for Rs.15,000 marriage assistance provided by the State Government under the Moovalur Ramamirudham Ammayar scheme. The assistance is given to girls aged 18 and above who have completed Class X (pass or fail). The annual income should not be above Rs.12,000. Applications can be downloaded from www.tngov.nic.in (Social Welfare Department page) and also obtained from panchayat union offices, district social welfare office and District Collector’s office. Filled in forms should be submitted at any of these offices with copies of SSLC mark sheet, wedding invitation, and income certificate. Any complaints, suggestions can be made to following officers (with phone numbers in brackets) : Director of Social Welfare, Chepauk, Chennai (044-28545745), District Collector, Coimbatore (0422-2301114) and the District Social Welfare Officer, Coimbatore
