Dies in lorry accident

KANCHEEPURAM: The loading assistant of a lorry was killed when the vehicle plunged into a 15-foot canal near the railway track at Konerikuppam near here on Tuesday. The accident took place when driver Sekar lost control while trying to cross a small bridge without parapet walls. The vehicle was carrying debris.

Loading assistant Srinivasan of Thamal was killed on the spot while another, Udhaya, sustained injuries.
