Develop entrepreneurial skills, Collector tells youth

NAMAKKAL: Collector G. Sundaramurthi has called upon youth to develop their entrepreneurial skills.
He was speaking after inaugurating a six-week entrepreneurship development programme organised by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, in association with Indian Bank and District Industries Centre here recently.
The Collector said that youth should have the knowledge about current trends in the industry and posses the required skills to run a venture successfully. The training would equip them with skills.
Candidates selected at the end of the programme would be asked to prepare a project report.
Based on the projects, loans would be extended to them to start enterprises.
He added that the banks were extending credit to the people willing to start businesses. Indian Bank Deputy General Manager Mahadevan, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Assistant General Manager Jeyakannan,,

Distributed
Welfare assistance to the tune of Rs. 3 lakh was distributed through the Mahalir Thittam project and District Social welfare Office during the programmes organised in Salem on Tuesday as a part of the ongoing multimedia campaign.
A press release said that the assistance included funds for self-help groups and marriage assistance.
