President coming tomorrow

Bangalore: President Pratibha Patil, who was originally scheduled to arrive in Bangalore on Thursday on a two-day maiden visit to the State, will now arrive on February 1 at 12.10 p.m.

She will meet Governor Rameshwar Thakur and senior officials over lunch at 1 p.m. at Raj Bhavan.

Thereafter, the President will attend a cultural programme there.

On February 2, the President will flag off the prestigious Golden Chariot luxury train of the State at the Yeshwanthpur railway station at 11.10 a.m. and thereafter proceed to Puttaparti in Andhra Pradesh.

She will later visit Hampi and then proceed to New Delhi, according to an official press release here.
