YSR loyalists in a belligerent mood

HYDERABAD: Even as senior Telangana Congress leaders eagerly await an appointment with AICC president Sonia Gandhi, loyalists of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy are gearing up to launch a direct attack on them for “trying to bring disrepute to the party with their controversial remarks on Telangana”.

Presidents of Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda district party units met in the city on Tuesday and decided to take on the party veterans.

The meeting faulted the seniors for stating that the Congress would be badly drubbed in the elections if the demand for a separate Telangana was not conceded.
