Bharti gets additional spectrum

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said it had got additional spectrum to expand its services in five telecom circles — West Bengal, Gujarat, Assam, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh (West). The company also reported an impressive 42 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs.1,722 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2008 against Rs. 1,215 crore in the same period in the previous year. — Special Correspondent
