HYDERABAD: The National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Rajendranagar will conduct the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) inter-institutional zone IV championships at the Railway Recreation Club (RRC) grounds, Secunderabad, from February 2 to 6. About 650 sportspersons form 24 ICAR-affiliated institutes will compete in athletics, football, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, cycling, carom and chess. Olympian S. Geetha will inaugurate the meet on Saturday, while National women’s badminton champion Saina Nehwal will be the guest of honour. Dr. S.M. Ilyas, Director, NAARM, will preside. Chess tournamentMagna Chess Academy will conduct a chess tournament for children under 10 and 15 years of age at Magna Chambers, Abid Road on February 3.
