Tata Sumo with explosives seized

Madanapalle: Madanapalle DSP Pulla Reddy told the press that on Wednesday the Molakalacheruvu CI and his staff seized a Tata Sumo with 4,000 detonators, 3,000 gelatine sticks, 12 rounds of detonating cords and arrested one Suresh of Gudiyatham (Tamil Nadu). Ramesh, 25, accompanying Suresh, fled. On being questioned, Suresh said that they were transporting these explosives to a dealer, Satti, alias Satish, of Anantapur for blasting rocks. - Correspondent
