Man arrested for extortion

Tiruchi: A 51-year old man was arrested on extortion charge at Navalpat police station limits on Monday. Police said C. Kannan was proceeding on the Anna Nagar Road when S. Gnanaprakasam extorted money from him at knife point. Based on a complaint, Gnanaprakasam was arrested. The Navalpat police have registered a case.
