Gang attacks mill worker

TIRUNELVELI: A mill worker sustained cut injuries when a three-member armed gang attacked him on Wednesday.

Police said the gang attacked Palavesam (45) of Vaeppankulam near Thaazhaiyooththu near here when the victim was returning home after the night shift.

Following the incident, a group of people from Vaeppankulam went to Thatchanallur police station.

They demanded the immediate arrest of those who attacked Mr. Palavesam.

During interrogation, the police found that the gang had attacked the mill worker, as he reportedly opposed the use of cone speakers in a place of worship.
