Seminar on terrorism

BANGALORE: Experts dealing with terrorism would converge on Bangalore on February 4 during the three-day national-level seminar on disaster management with particular reference to terrorism.

The seminar, organised by the Directorate of Home Guards and Civil Defence, will be inaugurated by Governor Rameshwar Thakur.

A press release said among experts participating in the seminar include General (Retd.) V.P. Malik, who will deliver a talk on international terrorism and its impact on India, and retired Additional Secretary of Cabinet Secretariat B. Raman, who will deliver a lecture on genesis of terrorism in India. The seminar will be attended by Army, CRPF and BSF officials, besides senior IPS officials and lawyers who are involved in tackling terrorism.
