Kiran shines

Mysore: Kiran’s unbeaten 109 (12 x 4) helped Vidyaranya CC register a facile 87-run win over KR Nagar CC in their Group D league encounter in the Sri Gopalaswami Memorial tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores: Group C: Vidyaranya CC 284 for eight in 50 overs (A.M. Kiran 109 not out, Pawan Kumar 59) bt KR Nagar CC 197 in 43.5 overs (Shantaraj 77).

Group D: YMCC 215 for eight in 45.5 overs ( Dheemanth 73, Chiranjeevi 44) lost to RBNCC 217 for three in 22.4 overs (N. Sharath 75, Balasubramaniam 47 not out).
