Five men surrender

KOTTAYAM: Five persons allegedly involved in the murder of a middle-aged person following an altercation at Erattupetta last Sunday surrendered to the police on Thursday. The case involved the death of George Thomas, 46, who was returning home with his friends after a music concert. He was reportedly hacked to death by a gang of bike riders. According to the police, ten people who came on five bikes were involved. Those surrendered were identified as Rafique Jalal, 22, of Puthenparambil House; Ajmal, 21, of Padickaprambil House; Biju, 28, of Viruyannatu House; Sinaj, 24, of Puthenparambil and Basheer, 22, of Chirappara House. They reportedly surrendered before Erattupetta Circle Inspector K.V. Vijayakumar.
