Hostel warden suspended

VIRUDHUNAGAR: A hostel warden of the Adi Dravidar Welfare Girls Hostel at Vathirairuppu was placed under suspension on Thursday by Collector V. Chandrasekaran for abstaining from duty and creating law and order problem.

S. Amudha was charged with irregularities in the running of the hostel. The Collector ordered the suspension at a meeting to review the law and order situation in the district.

Collector’s appeal

He called for quick disposal of petty disputes through consensus and asked the public to support developmental activities and help in removing encroachments.

He warned that strict action would be taken against individuals creating law and order problem.

According to an official press release, the Collector asked Revenue Department officials and the police to act swiftly in solving issues related to caste and temple festivals.
