Official, constable trapped
BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police on Wednesday trapped two officials at Gokak in Belgaum district and at Hospet in Bellary district while they were allegedly accepting bribe.
According to a press note, Manohara Dundappa Kabbur, Assistant Director of Veterinary Services, Gokak, was caught while allegedly accepting Rs. 1,500 from Hanumanth Bhimappa Gopali for issuing medical certificate in respect of two she buffaloes.
Adinarayana, police constable of Kamalapura police station, was caught while allegedly accepting Rs. 4,000 from lorry cleaner R. Santosh for closing a case under the Motor Vehicle Act.
