Dharma Ebenezer dead
Dharma Ebenezer
CHENNAI: Dharma Ebenezer, former Secretary of the Madras Race Club, passed away on January 31. He was 67 and is survived by his wife and two children.
A keen sportsman and a great lover of horses and horse racing, Dharma started his career as an Assistant Starter under the stewardship of the then Chairman, M. A. Chidambaram. Having served in various capacities in his 42-year tenure Dharma retired as Secretary in 2007. He was also twice elected as the Secretary General of the Turf Authority of India.
He had a passion for dogs and was also a member of the Kennel Club and the World Wildlife Federation.
Mr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy, Chairman, Madras Race Club, said: “Dharma was a dedicated worker who was associated with the Club for over four decades. We will miss him a lot.”
