Cane farmer torches crop, jumps into it

Sangareddy: A sugarcane farmer torched his crop and jumped into it in an attempt to commit suicide. He was admitted to Ramayampet government hospital on Thursday He was reportedly in critical condition. Chajjya (45 years) a tribal from Khajapur had no takers to his sugarcane crop. He grew desperate and resorted to the extreme step, said his wife.
