HYDERABAD: Chairperson, State Human Rights Commission, Justice B.Subhashan Reddy on Thursday directed the Registrar of the commission to conduct a comprehensive inquiry and submit a report by February 4 into the complaint of lack progress in the investigation relating to the murder of Ayesha Meera at Vijayawada. The parents of the victim accompanied by representatives of women’s organisation met Justice Reddy and complained that there was no progress in the investigation and that the police were not taking interest in the case. Following the representation, the Chairperson directed the Registrar to conduct an inquiry which would take place at the R&B guesthouse in Vijayawada on Friday. Meanwhile, Municipal Administration Minister Koneru Ranga Rao here at a press conference on Thursday denied having influenced the police investigation into the rape and killing of Ayesha . TD threatens stirStaff Reporter from Vijayawada adds: Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday threatened to launch a State-wide agitation in protest against the lack of progress in the Ayesha Meera murder case. Speaking to reporters at Gannavaram airport, he said that the TDP would get into some kind of a direct action if the government did not ensure justice to the parents of Ayesha Meera, who was murdered on December 27.
