MALAPPURAM: The seventh State conference of the Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) began at Changaramkulam in the district on Thursday. Scores of delegates from across the world are taking part in the four-day conference, upholding the theme ‘Lord’s message for the redemption of humanity’. Sheik Tharq Saami Sulthaan al Eisa, chairman of the Ihyau Thuraasul Islami, Kuwait, inaugurated the conference. Sheik Yusuf Estes, Islamic scholar from the U.S., was the chief guest. P.K. Ali Abdurazak Madani, State president of the Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, presided over the function. Kunhimohammed Parappur, secretary of the KNM, welcomed the gathering. Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Kuwait, inaugurated a youth meet on ‘youth for renaissance, not for destruction’. Sheikh Abdullah Ya’koob Karsh, Islamic scholar from Somalia, was the chief guest at the function. Sayed Mohammed Shakir, president of the Ithihadu Shubbanil Mujahideen, presided.
