HYDERABAD: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) premiums can now be paid in cash at all the 1,300-odd APOnline franchisee centres. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Executive Director and zonal manager of the LIC S. Viswanathan said that policy holders of any branch of the LIC across the country could make their payments through APOnline franchisees. The corporation was also negotiating with e-Seva service providers to enable the payment of premiums through their counters also soon. Mr. Viswanathan said the premium payment through Internet was being allowed through popular banks and three service providers. Electronic Clearance System (ECS) could also be used for payment in select cities including Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam in the State, among the others. The LIC was trying to replicate the same model in States wherever e-Governance facility was available across the country.
