SIRSI: “Let your zeal, enthusiasm and self-confidence be with you throughout to live a complete life,” said litterateur and poet Jayant Kaikini. He was speaking at the seven-day mega cultural festival being held at Sankalpa complex, Yellapur near here, on Wednesday. He said that the time had come for senior citizens to have introspection. He said that “today we have everything to mould students and help them lead a life but too much avarice has marred the future prospects of the younger generation. By emulating the ideals of litterateurs such as D.R. Bendre and Shivaram Karanth in this transitory period one can lead contented life.” “Cultural activities are testimony of our rich heritage,” Mr. Kaikini said and added that “everyone in the world has had development in his life in his own way.” He said, “Only man can achieve the highest progress in life. So that he could achieve some thing great.”
