Rectified spirit seized

Krishnagiri: The Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) personnel seized 420 litres of rectified spirit and 700 litres of illicit distilled arrack, which was being smuggled in a car at Kaveripattinam near here on Friday. Acting on a tip-off, a team was conducting vehicle checks at the Kaveripattinam-Palacode Road when they intercepted a car and seized the contraband. Sadakullah of Kaveripattinam was arrested in this connection. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
