CUDDALORE: District-level sports meet will be conducted among the teams formed in village panchayats chosen under the Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam at Anna Stadium here on February 23 and 24. In a statement released here on Friday, Collector Rajendra Ratnoo said that under the scheme, 136 play centres, including 15 in high and higher secondary schools, had been formed in the district. The panchayat-level events in running, long jump, high jump, volleyball, basketball and badminton would be held separately for men and women on February 9 and 10. These would be followed by block-level events on February 16 and 17. The event would culminate on February 23 and 24 at Anna Stadium, Mr. Ratnoo said.
