RIT plans college for women

Kakinada: The Regency Institute of Technology (RIT), Yanam, affiliated to University of Pondicherry, has plans to set up an engineering college exclusively for women.

The proposal is under the consideration of the All India Council for Technical Education, according to RIT principal A. Srirama Rao.

Speaking to reporters at Yanam on Friday, Mr. Srirama Rao said the college also applied for permission to launch post-graduate programmes in advanced machining techniques and computer science and engineering (CSE).
