Six-member gang of thieves arrested

KASARAGOD: The Manjeswaram police on Friday arrested a six persons from Hosangadi, near Manjeswaram, while they were pilfering petrol from a pump. Five policemen suffered injuries when the gang attacked the police patrol team. The arrested are Ashraf (23), of Muttom Gate, Moitheen Shabeer (20), Umar Farook (20), of Banthiyode, Ismail Siddique (22), of Hidayath Nagar, Aboobacker Siddique (22), of Kunjathoor Mada and Althaf (24).
