DEHRA DUN: The station house officers of 13 police stations were awarded shields for outstanding performance by the Uttarakhand Director-General of Police, Subhash Joshi, at a function here on Friday. Special awards went to Inspector Dinesh Chandra Dhaundiyal and Inspector Anshu Chaudhary for meritorious service in Kumaon and Garhwal ranges, respectively. The DGP expressed happiness over the selection of Constable Ashish Kumar Singh for a combined police expedition to Mount Everest later this year.
