President reviews development works

BANGALORE: President Pratibha Patil on Friday told Governor Rameshwar Thakur and the other top officials of the Government to take immediate steps to bring qualitative change in the administration during the President’s Rule in the State.

Ms. Patil held a meeting with the Governor and his Advisers and Chief Secretary P.B. Mahishi at Raj Bhavan and reviewed various development works undertaken by the State Government.

Official sources told The Hindu that she has asked the Governor and government officials to expedite work on infrastructure projects.

The State Government has also been told to utilise funds under various centrally sponsored schemes, the sources added.
