Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh has been selected by the Union Government for the National Tourism Award (2007-08) in the “Best tourism performing State/Union Territory” category. This is the first time the State is being honoured at this level in the field of tourism. The Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Ashwini Lohani, said various measures taken by the State Government for developing tourism had culminated in the State being selected for the honour.
