CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has decided to transfer all 66 KV sub-stations of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) to the State’s two power distribution companies, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), to ensure efficient power supply to consumers and effective implementation of power regulatory measures for equal distribution of power. Power Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said that staff posted at these stations would also be transferred to these companies. He said the Haryana Government had taken several steps to improve the availability of power and many projects were in the pipeline which would generate an additional 5,000 MW of power in the State by 2010.
