Attack on actor: six persons remanded to judicial custody

HYDERABAD: Six fans of megastar Chiranjeevi, who surrendered before the police confessing to involvement in the attack on actor Rajasekhar case, were remanded to judicial custody for 14 days on Friday. Four more accused , Y. Nagesh Babu, 40, R. Suri Babu, 35, B. Venugopal Naidu, 40, and Srinivas, 40, are still at large. The West Zone DCP N. Madhusudhan Reddy told reporters that the police were yet to identify the main persons behind the attack. The counsel for the accused submitted to the court that the attack did not attract section 307 (attempt to murder) of Indian Penal Code.
