SBT revises interest rates

Thiruvananthapuram: The State Bank of Travancore (SBT) is revising the interest on domestic term deposits and non- resident ordinary term deposits from Friday. The revised rates with the existing ones within brackets are as follows: 46 days and above up to 90 days – 5.25 (5); 91 days and above up to 179 days —7 (5.50); 180 days and above but less than one year —7.50 (6.50); one year and above but less than two years —9 (8); two years and above but less than three years —9.25 (8.75); three years and above but less than four years —9 (8.50); four years and above but less than five years —9 (8.50) and five years and above —9 (8.50).

The resident senior citizens will get 0.50 per cent additional interest on deposits of Rs.5,000 and above for periods of one year and more.
