Dempo wins

Margao: Dempo’s medio Climax Lawrence scored once in each half to guide Dempo to a 2-1 win over JCT in the 14th round of the ONGC I-League, played at Nehru Stadiumhere on Thursday.

Climax cancelled out JCT Sunil Chetri 18th minute strike and then scored the winner in the 89th minute to put Dempo clear of Churchill Brothers and JCT at the top with 30 points from 14 matches. — PTI
