“Protect minority educational institutions from encroachments”

CHENNAI: The Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, on Friday urged the State Government to protect minority educational institutions from encroachments.
Delivering the presidential address at the annual day celebrations of the Girls Education and Welfare Trust, he said the present Government headed by M. Karunanidhi was working for the welfare and well being of minorities and there was no doubt that minority institutions were safe in the State.
Qawwali programme
Chief Guest at the function, Minister for Environment and Wakf T.P.M. Mohideen Khan, inaugurated a qawwali programme and said his party was a protector of minorities whether it was in power or in the opposition.
Personnel and Administrative Reforms Secretary Qudsia Gandhi said the State Government was extending help to all schools.
