Five sailors killed in accident

New Delhi: Five Indian Navy sailors were killed on Friday and three injured in an accident during an exercise on board the Navy’s new ship INS ‘Jalseva’ in the Bay of Bengal. The incident happened while the ship was exercising between Visakhapatanam and Port Blair, the Navy spokesman said. The cause of the incident and details are being ascertained, he said, adding medical supplies and other relief measures to treat the injured were being sent to Port Blair. — PTI
