City Union Bank net profit up

CHENNAI: City Union Bank has achieved a net profit of Rs. 25.38 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 against Rs. 13.86 crore in the year-ago period. Total Income has gone up to Rs. 176.14 crore from Rs. 110.26 crore. Interest income was higher at Rs. 154.84 crore against Rs. 99.40 crore. Net interest income has risen by 25 per cent to Rs. 49.34 crore from Rs. 39.60 crore. Advances have risen by 41 per cent to Rs. 3,940 crore and deposits by 55 per cent to Rs. 6,303 crore — Corporate Reporter
