Siemens net profit doubles

CHENNAI: Siemens has reported a turnover of Rs. 1,914.44 crore for the first quarter ended December 31, 2007 against Rs. 1,626.90 crore in the year-ago period. The net profit has doubled to Rs. 197.05 crore from Rs. 98.07 crore. The company has fixed March 3 as the record date for issue and allotment of bonus shares in the ratio of one share for every equity share. — Corporate Reporter
