Award: Akademi stance ‘painful’

KOLLAM: Aswathy Tirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bai, member of the royal family of erstwhile Travancore said the Kerala Sahithya Akademi’s decision to withdraw the Sri Padmanabha Swamy Bala Sahithya Puraskaram, instituted by the royal family during the reign of Chithira Tirunal Balarama Varma, was hurting. She presented the Puraskaram, now given by Gramam Samskarika Vedi, to P.R. Nathan.
