“Pace of work not satisfactory”

CHENGAM: Chengam block in Tiruvannamalai district has been slow in implementing the Annaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Scheme and the work undertaken so far is not up to expectation, Anu George, Additional Collector, has said. She was participating in a seminar held for panchayat presidents attached to the block under ‘Vazhanthu Kaappom’ scheme here on Saturday.

Satyabrata Sahoo, Collector, said it was the duty of the panchayat presidents to give a list of areas that are socially and economically backward. The administration would not spare efforts to develop those areas.
