Bus employees stage protest

Srinagar: Demanding the announcement of a revival package, the employees of Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) on Saturday staged a protest asking the Government to take over the corporation.

The State Government should take over the corporation and provide a revival package on the pattern of the Delhi Transport Corporation, the SRTC employees union said in a statement. The union also demanded investigation into scandals which have marred the corporation, including illegal appointments and out of turn promotions.
