DAVANGERE: A large number of people under the aegis of the Jana Jagruthi Samithi took out a procession here on Saturday demanding that the Government take steps to eliminate terrorist activities in the State. The protesters raised slogans against organisations involved in such activities. They submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, in which they said that Pakistan-trained militants who had infiltrated into the country were indulging in disruptive activities in the State. Recently, the arrest of a suspected terrorist in Honnali had revealed their network, the memorandum said, adding that Hospet, Hubli, Mangalore, Bangalore and other places were becoming increasingly vulnerable.
