BIDAR: The Bidar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has said that the three cooperative sugar factories in the district are not taking up “systematic” crushing of sugarcane. In a press release here on Saturday, to Deputy Commissioner Harsh Gupta, the BCCI president, B.G. Shetkar said that the factories’ fieldsmen and cane inspectors were not “issuing” cutting orders as stated. Mr. Shetkar asked the Deputy Commissioner to immediately convene a meeting of the managing directors of the factories and resolve the issue. — Staff Correspondent
