Excise raids

Bangalore: K.R. Srinivasan, Director-General and Inspector-General of Police, has appreciated the exemplary work done by the Excise Enforcement Cell, district police and Commissioners of Police of the State in conducting excise raids in various places in the State. In all, Rs. 8.74 crore worth illicit liquor, spirit, arrack, chloral hydrate powder and duplicate IML were seized after the ban on sale of arrack was imposed in the State. The DG and IGP has distributed Rs. 18.15 lakh as cash rewards to the police officials. — Staff Reporter
