“Taslima should be protected”

New Delhi: Expressing concern over the rise of religious intolerance and its impact on writers, eminent Kannada author U R Anantha Murthy on Saturday said Taslima Nasreen should be protected and writers should speak out in her support.

“We should protect her (Taslima), we should be proud of her and writers like me should come out in her support,” he said, adding, a discussion should be initiated on the issue.
