Minister rules out Krishna water diversion

HYDERABAD: Major Irrigation Minister P. Lakshmaiah has denied as “totally untrue and misleading”, the charge levelled by senior Congress leader V. Purushothama Reddy, in his letter addressed to AICC president Sonia Gandhi, that Telangana’s share of assured waters of the Krishna was being diverted to Rayalaseema, especially Kadapa district.

At a press conference here on Saturday, he said it was only flood waters of the Krishna that were being supplied to Rayalaseema.
