DJ’s clinic a big hit

BANGALORE: David Jones, known as ‘DJ’ in the world of basketball, was in the city on Saturday to conduct an interactive clinic at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

DJ, who played as a professional in Europe for 13 years and holds the record for the maximum number of points in a single game, demonstrated ‘muscle memory’ – the ability to imagine perfection in movements on the court and shooting with the ball – to almost hundred basketball enthusiasts who attended the clinic.

Now 40, DJ stressed on his mantra “Shooting for Success” and said: “if one is ready to work hard and believe in oneself the road to success is not difficult.” Impressed with the potential available in the country, DJ said he believed that the younger brigade could make it ‘big’ in the game and life in general.

DJ, accompanied by Tushar Patel, an expert in ‘sports medicine and nutrition’, will travel to Mumbai and then Delhi in the next week conducting clinics.
