Simi wins title
GURGAON: Simi Mehra shot a three-over 75 to win the eighth and final leg of the DLF women’s professional golf tour at the DLF Golf and Country Club here.
Simi’s winning aggregate after three rounds was 10-over 226, 12 shots better than the runner-up Irina Brar. In the final round, Irina carded a 76 for a 238 and finished way ahead third placed Saaniya Sharma who tallied 252.
Simi won Rs. 45, 654 and took her earnings from the tour to Rs. 3,19,578. Simi won all the seven legs she participated in.
The scores: Simi Mehra (78, 73, 75) 226; Irina Brar (82, 80, 76) 238; Saaniya Sharma (85, 84, 83) 252; Nalini Singh (92, 81, 80) 253; Nonita Lall Qureshi (81, 90, 84) 255; Shalini Malik (82, 90, 89) 261 and Preetinder Kaur (94, 90, 89) 273.
