New MTC, SETC route buses from Thiruvotriyur

Decision following requests from people, ministers’ recommendations
CHENNAI: The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) will operate five new buses on three new routes and the State Express Transport Corporation will operate five new services from Thiruvotriyur with effect from Thursday, a press release issued by the MTC has said.
The decision was taken following requests from people in Thiruvotriyur and recommendations of Transport Minister K.N. Nehru and Minister for Fisheries K.P.P. Sami.
The new MTC routes will be as follows:
Route number 421 Thiruvotriyur to Kelambakkam via Royapuram Police Station, Boradway, Adyar and Navalur will have two buses plying. Route number 595A Thiruvotriyur to Pazhaverkadu via Andarkuppam, Napalayam, Minjur, Pulikulam, Ponneri and Thirupalaivanam will have one. Route number 558 B Red Hills to Pazhaverkadu via Karanodai, Thachur Koot Road, Ponneri, Tirupalaivanam will have two buses.
SETC routes: 191 DU Thiruvotriyur to Thiruchendur, 7.30 p.m.; 308 DU Thiruvotriyur to Poompuhar, 8 p.m.; 422 DU Thiruvotriyur to Salem, 8 p.m.; 803 DU Ennore to Puducherry 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and 911 DU Thiruvotriyur to Tirupathi, 8 p.m.
