Narain to start 13th on grid

Coimbatore: A1 Team India’s Narain Karthikeyan will start 13th on the grid in the Sprint format in the sixth round of the A1GP at the Eastern Creek in Sydney on Sunday.

Narain, who is new to the track, quickly familiarised himself against the odds of changing weather conditions and improved his timing between the Q1 and Q2 from 1:120.120s to 1.19.00s.

The choice of tyres proved crucial on the team’s lap times. The 30-year-old, after switching to the new tyres, closed the gap between Loic Duval of A1 Team France at P1 to less than tenth of a second.
