ISBA 2008 meet ends

Thiruvananthapuram: Water Resources Minister N.K. Premachandran on Saturday urged researchers to develop new and cost-effective technologies for water reuse and recycling.

He was speaking at the valedictory function of Indian Steps (Science and Technology Entrepreneur’s Parks) and Business Incubation Association’s ISBA 2008 conference at the Technopark here. Mr. Premachandran said the association should help conventional industries improve their production methods in order to empower them to face and thrive against global competition.

E.P. Yeshodharan, executive vice-president, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, spoke.

Technopark Chief Financial Officer K.C. Chandrasekharan Nair welcomed the gathering. R.M.P Jawahar, vice-chairman, ISBA, gave the report on the outcome of the ISBA conference. R. Reghunandan, secretary, ISBA, proposed the vote of thanks.
